17mm Hand-Carved Balsa Sinking Micro Crankbait

Crankbait
Hand Carved
This is about as simple as creek fishing gets: make something little look alive and put it where the fish live.
The Boyan Creek Crank is a tiny hand-carved balsa sinking crankbait measuring just 17mm (0.67") and weighing approximately 1g (1/28 oz). It's a true micro hard bait built for trout, panfish and little creek predators feeding on equally little forage.
The compact body and small diving bill give the Creek Crank an active swimming presentation, while the sinking design gives you more control over where you fish it. Let it settle into a deeper pocket, count it down beside a rock, or get it underneath the faster surface water before starting your retrieve.
Straight retrieve. Little twitches. Stop-and-go. Controlled drift. Don't overthink this one. Put that tiny chunk of balsa in front of a hungry creek fish and let it do its job.
Carved By Boyan. One At A Time.
Every Creek Crank is individually hand-carved and hand-finished by Boyan. We're talking about a complete hard bait that's only 17mm long — carved, painted, detailed and rigged by hand.
That's the kind of tiny craftsmanship we fell in love with when we found these, and exactly the kind of oddball little creek tackle we like putting in the Creek Life shop.
Fish It Your Way
- Steady Retrieve: Let the little crankbait work on its own
- Twitch & Pause: Add little changes in direction around cover
- Count It Down: Use the sinking body to reach deeper pockets
- Work The Current: Fish seams, eddies and slack water behind rocks
- Pair it with ultralight, XUL or light BFS tackle
Where It Shines
Clear creeks, shallow streams, rocky runs, deeper pockets, current seams, little pools, pond edges and anywhere fish are keyed in on tiny baitfish and micro forage.
What's Gonna Eat It?
Trout • Bluegill • Sunfish • Rock Bass • Redeye • Crappie • Creek Smallmouth
Pretty much anything in the creek mean enough to chase something 17mm long.
A Note About Handmade: Every Boyan lure is individually made by hand. Small variations in carving, paint, foil placement, eyes, hardware alignment and finish are normal. Those little differences are part of what makes each bait unique.
Hand carved by Boyan. Picked for the little water we call home.
