There are topwater lures... and then there's this little feller.

The Boyan Creek Popper is an almost unbelievably small hand-carved balsa micro popper measuring just 17mm (0.67") and weighing only 0.5g. It's built for those little stretches of water where a regular popper feels less like supper and more like somebody threw a squirrel in the creek.

Its deeply cupped face catches water with short twitches of the rod, disturbing the surface while the tiny floating body stays right where creek fish are used to seeing insects, struggling minnows, and other bite-sized meals.

Fish it slow beside a shaded bank. Pop it across a calm pocket. Twitch it around wood and rocks. Or just let it sit there for a second after it lands. Sometimes that little pause is all it takes.

Carved By Boyan. One At A Time.

These aren't factory baits. Each one is individually hand-carved and hand-finished by Boyan, turning a tiny piece of balsa into a functional piece of fishing tackle.

At only 17mm, the details are downright impressive. The carved body, cupped mouth, foil accents, paint, eyes, hardware, and finish give each little popper its own personality.

Made For Little Water & Big Reactions

  • Floating topwater design keeps the bait working right at the surface
  • Cupped popper face creates surface disturbance with short twitches
  • 17mm micro profile for fish feeding on tiny forage
  • Hand-carved balsa body for old-school craftsmanship in an almost impossibly small package
  • Built for ultralight and extreme-ultralight tackle
  • Rigged with a single micro hook

Who's Gonna Eat It?

Bluegill • Sunfish • Rock Bass • Redeye • Trout • Crappie • Creek Smallmouth

If it'll look up and eat something tiny off the surface, it's invited to the party.

Where It Belongs

Skinny creeks, shaded pools, calm pockets, shallow runs, pond edges, slack water behind rocks, under overhanging limbs, and anywhere you see little fish rising or bugs touching the surface.

A Note About Handmade: Every Boyan lure is individually made by hand. Small variations in carving, paint, foil placement, eyes, hardware alignment, and finish are normal and are part of what makes each bait unique.
